The LGBTQ+ communities for centuries, have been forced to live behind closed doors, to be persecuted and shunned by ideals passed down through sociocultural beliefs, and to be subjected to crimes. However, this is just a hurdle that has been overcome by the inclusive safe spaces. A place where they are free of judgements, they are free of the restraints the world has placed upon them to look and behave a certain way. Safe Space is a window into a community that many refuse to see, this series is a series to show a thriving community despite the conditions this community is subjected to. They are human and they are free.
This project mixes a blend of 35mm Film and DSLR images while creating a stories and narrative of the space and moments through diptychs and triptychs.
